{"id":62,"date":"2018-08-23T19:56:27","date_gmt":"2018-08-23T19:56:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.pajh.org\/recipes\/?p=62"},"modified":"2018-08-23T20:36:51","modified_gmt":"2018-08-23T20:36:51","slug":"bramble-jelly","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.pajh.org\/recipes\/2018\/08\/23\/bramble-jelly\/","title":{"rendered":"Bramble Jelly"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ingredients:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1.5kg brambles<\/li>\n<li>1kg sugar<\/li>\n<li>knob of butter<\/li>\n<li>1 packet of Silverspoon pectin<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Method:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Throw the berries, sugar and butter into a heavy bottomed pan (probably the hugest pan you can find!)<\/li>\n<li>Gently heat for around 25-30 minutes, until the berries have softened, then whack up the heat and boil the fuck out of it! This will result in a dark, furiously bubbling pan of molten hot deliciousness. It will spit. Beware!<\/li>\n<li>Keep on a rolling boil for 7 minutes. Then lower the heat until it simmers. Add the pectin a little at a time and mix well. Continue to simmer for 4 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Strain the mixture though a sieve to remove the hulls and seeds. Pour into prepared, sterilized jars, and pop the top onto form the vacuum required to preserve the jelly.<\/li>\n<li>You will almost halve the amount of jam.
